Higher Education events have gained a lot of momentum in the recent past across the globe. Event management industry is booming and growing by every minute. Hosting events has become quite easier these days. But in the process, the entire event management industry generates staggering amounts of data. This data has a huge potential and can be used constructively for useful purposes. Glasgow based firm, Bizvento, came up with an idea using this data to transform the higher education sector.
Bizvento came up with an idea of offering higher education universities across the UK, a unique ability to predict and estimate the sum of the prospective students interested in applying to these universities. This idea heavily depended on providing very accurate and reliable data to these institutions.
Utilizing the data gathered by Bizvento’s event-organizer apps effectively during the higher education sector events. This information included details (education level, status, gender) about prospective students and their interests in various courses offered by various universities. Bizvento launched project KEBOP (Knowledge Extraction for Business Opportunities). Also, The Data Lab facilitated an academic partnership between the University of Glasgow and Bizvento to allow free flow of the information on both ends.
Further, KEBOP suite tool mined actionable data from usage-records of Bizvento and the registration information of Bizvento’s users. This information helped the universities and the higher education institutions to forecast amounts of applications as well as students’ interest in various Post Graduation data science programs and big data certification courses.
Bizvento developed a highly efficient and reliable tool capable of handling complex information. This tool can now analyze digital footprints of users of Bizvento-products during academic events.
Increased brand awareness. Consequently, business expanded as more universities sought Bizvento’s help for improving their student recruitment processes.
